Sebastian’s Action Trust was privileged to have known and supported Marcie Loader in the last two and a half years of her battle with cancer. Having initially been diagnosed in 2004 with Ewings sarcoma (bone cancer), she subsequently developed leukaemia as a rare but known side effect of one of the chemotherapy drugs administered in treatment. It is with great sadness that we write Marcie’s five year fight to survive came to an end on the 5th October 2009.

At her funeral, Marcie’s family chose to honour their daughter with a wonderful celebration of her life which gave all who were present a poignant insight into what made this beautiful girl so special. Marcie will be missed by so many and never forgotten.
