Personal Challenges

Personal challenges come in many different forms and are a great way to raise funds.
You could take on a physical challenge like running a half marathon, enjoy the once-in a life-time experience of climbing Africa’s highest peak or cycling through Cuba on an organised challenge, or you can get your friends and colleagues to sponsor you to give up a habit or a luxury you are known to regularly enjoy – such as giving up smoking, eating chocolate or crisps.

Take up our Collection Box Challenge

grim girls
In June 2009 a group of challengers from Basingstoke completed the admirable feat of climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon and cycling between them, in less than 6 days.

The team were so committed to raising funds that they even carried the Sebastian’s Action Trust collection box up all three mountains collecting donations from fellow climbers along the way. At the highest point they were collecting funds at 1,344 metres.

The team have challenged other fundraisers to take the Trust’s collection tin further or higher and to take a picture to prove it.
